This roller covers the full polyhedral set used in tabletop gaming: D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20, and D100. Pick a die, choose how many to roll (1 up to 20 at once), and add a positive or negative modifier; a live formula display shows the resulting dice notation, such as 3d6+2 or 1d20-1, exactly as it appears in game rulebooks. Each roll draws every die independently with uniform probability, then shows the individual values, the modifier, and the grand total in a display large enough to read across a game table.
Rolling a single D6 gets special treatment: a 3D CSS cube tumbles through a full rotation animation before settling on the correct face with proper pip layouts, the closest a browser gets to a physical die. Every other configuration shows an animated suspense state before revealing the result. A history panel logs the last 50 rolls with their notation, individual values, and totals, so disputes about what was rolled two turns ago are settled by scrolling, and a Clear All button wipes the log between encounters.
Your selected die type, dice count, and modifier are remembered between visits, so a regular 2d6 board game or a D20-based campaign reopens ready to roll. The randomness comes from your browser's own generator running locally; no roll is logged or sent anywhere, which also means results appear with no network delay.

How fair are the rolls?
Each die is drawn independently and uniformly across its faces using the browser's random number generator, so every face of a d20 has an equal 5 percent chance. Multiple dice in one roll are sampled separately, not derived from each other.
How many dice can I roll at once?
Up to 20 dice of a single type per roll. Each die's individual value is displayed alongside the combined total, and the modifier is applied once to the sum, not per die.
What does the modifier do?
It adds to or subtracts from the total after all dice are summed, matching tabletop notation: 3d6+2 rolls three six-sided dice and adds 2. Negative values work for penalties.
Is my roll history saved if I close the page?
No, the history lives only in the open page and holds the last 50 rolls. Your die type, dice count, and modifier are saved between visits, but past results reset.
Can anyone else see my rolls?
No. Results are generated on your own device and never transmitted, so no server log of your rolls exists. For remote games, share your screen if the group wants to witness rolls live.
