Every social network enforces its own image dimensions, and getting them wrong means automatic cropping, blurry upscaling, or letterboxing you did not choose. This resizer ships with size presets for seven platforms: Instagram (square 1080x1080, portrait 1080x1350, story 1080x1920), Facebook (post 1200x630, cover 820x312, event cover 1920x1080), Twitter/X (post 1600x900, header 1500x500), LinkedIn (post 1200x627, cover 1584x396), YouTube (thumbnail 1280x720, channel art 2560x1440), TikTok, and Pinterest, plus profile picture sizes for each.
Three fit modes control how your image maps onto the target frame. Cover scales the image until it fills the frame and crops the overflow from the center. Contain shrinks the whole image to fit inside the frame and fills the leftover space with a background color you pick. Fill stretches the image to the exact dimensions, which distorts the aspect ratio but loses nothing. A live preview renders the result at the true pixel dimensions, and the original image size is shown underneath so you can judge how much scaling is happening.
Resizing runs on an HTML canvas in the page, so the photo never travels to a server. The download is a PNG named after the platform and preset, and your last platform, size, fit mode, and background color are remembered for the next visit.

Which platforms and sizes are included?
Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest, each with several presets: feed posts, stories, covers, headers, thumbnails, and profile pictures. The exact dimensions are listed on every preset button, for example 1080x1920 for an Instagram story.
What is the difference between cover, contain, and fill?
Cover crops your image from the center so it fills the frame completely. Contain keeps the whole image visible and pads the rest with your background color. Fill stretches to the exact dimensions, distorting proportions if the ratios differ.
Do my photos get uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read directly into an HTML canvas on the page and resized there. Nothing is transmitted over the network, and closing the tab discards the image.
What format is the download?
PNG. It is lossless, so text and sharp edges in thumbnails and covers stay crisp. The filename encodes the platform and preset, such as instagram-story-reel.png.
My image ratio does not match the preset. What should I do?
Use contain with a background color that matches your brand or the platform's dark theme, or use cover and accept the center crop. The live preview shows exactly what will be exported before you download.
