Signature Pad gives you a blank canvas for drawing a signature with a mouse, trackpad, stylus, or finger on a touchscreen, then exporting it as an image. The drawing surface is 300 pixels tall with a white background, and strokes are rendered with rounded caps and joins so lines look like ink rather than jagged computer segments. A color picker sets the pen to any shade (black and blue are the usual choices for documents), and a slider adjusts line width from 1 to 10 pixels: thin for a fine-pen look, thicker for marker-style signatures.
When you are happy with the result, download it as PNG or JPG with one click. The exported file can then be placed into PDFs, pasted into Word or Google Docs, attached to email footers, or uploaded wherever a signature image is requested. If a stroke goes wrong, the Clear button wipes the canvas so you can retry; most people need two or three attempts to get a signature they like, especially with a mouse.
A signature is exactly the kind of data you should be cautious about handing to a random website. Here the entire process, from pen stroke to file encoding, happens on your own device inside the page. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or logged. Your pen color and line width are kept in your browser's local storage so the pad is set up your way on the next visit, but the signature itself is never persisted anywhere.

Is my signature stored or uploaded anywhere?
No. The signature exists only on the canvas inside your page and is encoded to a file on your own device when you download. Closing the tab destroys it. Only your pen color and width preferences are saved, in local storage.
Should I download PNG or JPG?
PNG is lossless and keeps stroke edges perfectly sharp, so it is the better default for inserting into documents. JPG produces a slightly smaller file and is fine when the target form specifically requires that format.
Does the signature have a transparent background?
No, both exports have a solid white background. On white documents this is invisible. If you need transparency, run the PNG through a background removal tool to drop the white before placing it over colored layouts.
Can I sign on my phone?
Yes. The canvas handles touch events, so you can draw with a finger or stylus on any phone or tablet. Touch signing usually looks more natural than mouse signing and is the recommended way to capture a realistic signature.
Is an image signature legally binding?
In many jurisdictions a scanned or drawn signature image can be valid for everyday agreements, but requirements vary by country and document type. For contracts that demand audit trails, use a dedicated e-signature service; for routine forms an image is typically accepted.
