About Fancy Text

Transform your text into stylish Unicode fonts including bold, italic, script, fraktur, double-struck, circled, and more. Works on social media and messaging apps.

Most text platforms render plain Unicode, but Unicode itself contains dozens of mathematical and letterlike symbol blocks that look like styled fonts even though they are ordinary characters. This generator maps your input text to those blocks in real time, producing styles like bold (๐—›๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ผ), italic (๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ), script (๐’ฝ๐‘’๐“๐“๐‘œ), fraktur (๐”ฅ๐”ข๐”ฉ๐”ฉ๐”ฌ), double-struck (๐•™๐•–๐•๐•๐• ), monospace, circled, squared, fullwidth, and small caps - plus decorative effects like strikethrough, underline, upside-down, and bubble text.

Because the output is plain text characters rather than styled HTML, it copies and pastes into any input box that accepts Unicode: Instagram bios, Twitter profiles, Discord messages, LinkedIn posts, and WhatsApp captions. The platform renders the glyphs directly from the Unicode character set with no special formatting tag needed.

Not every character has a Unicode counterpart in every style block. Digits are covered in bold, double-struck, monospace, and circled styles; the squared and negative-squared styles only map uppercase letters. Characters without a mapping, like punctuation in most styles, pass through unchanged. The generator shows every available style at once so you can scan all 14 options side by side and copy the one that fits.

Common use cases

Social media bios and profiles

Add ๐’ท๐‘œ๐“๐’น ๐“ˆ๐’ธ๐“‡๐’พ๐“…๐“‰ or ๐”ฃ๐”ฏ๐”ž๐”จ๐”ฑ๐”ฒ๐”ฏ text to an Instagram bio or Twitter display name where HTML styling is not possible.

Discord and Slack emphasis

Use double-struck or monospace styles to make a username or channel announcement visually distinct in platforms that strip markdown.

Fun messages and reactions

Send upside-down or bubble text in a group chat for playful effect without any app or plugin.

Graphic design mockups

Drop stylised Unicode into a Figma or Canva text box to prototype typographic looks before committing to a real font.

Frequently asked questions
Why does fancy text work in Instagram bios but not in Google Docs?

Instagram renders the raw Unicode code points, so the styled glyphs display as-is. Google Docs normalises some Unicode ranges during paste, stripping the style. Results depend entirely on how each platform handles input.

Will the text be readable by screen readers?

Partially. Screen readers may read mathematical Unicode blocks character by character or skip them, so styled text can be harder to follow for visually impaired users. For accessibility-critical content, use plain text.

Why are some characters not converted?

Unicode does not have styled equivalents for every character in every block. Punctuation and accented letters mostly pass through as-is. Digits are covered in bold, double-struck, monospace, and circled styles.

Is my text stored or sent anywhere?

No. Conversion happens entirely in the browser tab. Your input never leaves your device, and no text is logged or retained after you close the page.

Can I use this for WhatsApp and Telegram?

Yes. Both apps render Unicode characters directly, so bold, italic, script, and other styles paste and display correctly in messages and profile bios.
